Saturday, November 14 at 11:00 am - 12:15 pm
Design thinking your life & career goes beyond what you see in front of you; it allows you to think critically about where you see yourself
About this Event
Oftentimes, we feel stuck at our current job because we either 1) went to college for that specific career choice, 2) worked at the company for several years, or 3) the benefits are outstanding. Design thinking your life and career goes beyond what you see in front of you; it allows you to think critically about where you see yourself in 3-5 years. You will ask yourself questions such as, what can I start doing now to get to where I want to be? This interactive workshop will challenge you to think outside your comfort zone and unleash your inner potential to see how your career goals impact life decisions.
Below are some important objectives from the event:
Produce a mind map diagram of something that energizes and engages you in creating a perfect flow.
From the mind map, brainstorm a job title that describes your potential career path.
Develop a 3-5 year implementation plan based on your job title and career goals.
Each participant will receive a workbook that will guide them through the designing thinking process. This event is based on the book, Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans.
